SURFING

Surfing in the waves is never boring to me

It is the shit that I love the most

Getting barrelled is the key

I just love to be on the coast

Surfing down the line is the best

The board under my feet

I dream of that feeling in my chest

This sport is nothing but a treat

Waking up early

Watching the sunrise

Gets me all squirrely

Will this sport be my demise

Board under my arm

I think this is my good luck charm

SONG OF MYSELF

I hate myself, I fear myself

Why do I feel this

I am quiet, I am kind

But I feel there is more to me than that

In the waves I am myself, but in public I am an alien

Who am I?

Why can't I figure out who I should be at all times

I want to be popular

Yet I hate the popular people

We are the same, yet influenced differently

How come we are all made up of the same

But all act differently

My best friends so different

Nothing like me

However we get along so well

We all live on this planet together

Smell the same air

Feel the same heat and wind

See the same beauty it contains

We are are the same

We all are different

But who am I?

PATH TO THE BEACH

Go to the tunnel lined with rainbows
Continue across the bridge that makes our city known
Down through the streets and to the cliffside
Squeeze into one of few parking spots
And take 10 steps down the stairs until your feet touch the sand
When you feel the cold particles spread between your toes
You know you’ve arrived

Piles of Books

DEFINITION OF POETRY

Poems come in all different shapes and sizes, they can be about anything and everything, but what makes a poem good? I believe a poem is anything that connects with you and speaks about prevalent problems in the world in an imaginative way and can be fun to read or make you feel something.
