MIDDAY SUN

Where does the creak begin and end?
A girl with black hair stares back at me from the murky water.
Her fluffy companion pulls wanting to continue on their journey.
A duck stares from the creak listening to the small bluebirds sing.
The long green grass dancing to their beautiful song.
The smell of dirt and sweet wildflowers fills the air.
What a beautiful day for a walk in the midday sun.
