NATURE

I sit looking out,
Expecting silence,
But the birds song and the wind's movement flood my ears,
As the trees move like caterpillars,
The sky covered in smoke,
Similar to looking out of a window with a screen,
I feel at ease,
Soaking in the sun and enjoying what nature has to offer.

(IN MEMORY OF) CHADWICK BOSEMAN

I’ve seen him as multiple characters besides the one he really was,
He was usually Jackie Robinson from 42 or Black Panther,
Playing a superhero,
Someone with such strength to the viewers,
But we couldn’t see how weak he was,
He fought hard and well,
Did the best that he could as a person,
And to also better his community,
May he Rest In Peace.

THE BEDROOM

My bed wasn’t made
The grey cover was halfway off the bed
My jacket was on the floor
The fan was not plugged in
My homework was in a pile
My shoes were all over the place
It was warm in there
And a little messy
Just how I like it

What Makes A Good Poem

To me a good poem needs to be relatable. It needs to make the reader feel emotion, create imagery, and keep the reader wondering about the hidden meaning behind the poem.
